Bio
I've worked a variety of jobs over my working career, but teaching has been by far the most rewarding. I really see it as more of a calling than a job. I entered the teaching profession 16 years ago, after many years working in the broadcasting and weather profession. I decided I wanted to use my knowledge and experience working in the field of science to give back to the younger generations. After 6 years away from teaching to take care of my daughter, who has many health challenges, I'm back to teaching this year and excited to be teaching 7th grade Life Science to the students at Bowdon Middle School! Originally from Wichita, Kansas, I attended Wichita State University and Mississippi State University and I'm a huge Oklahoma University football fan. I'm excited we will be playing in the SEC soon! I've lived in the west Georgia region since 1996 and been a resident of Bowdon since 2020. When not in the classroom I enjoy road trips across the U.S., nature photography, storm chasing, camping, hiking and tennis.
